POSITION TITLE: Senior Manager, Meeting & Event, Greater China
REPORTS TO: GCO Regional Lead, Greater China

LOCATION(S): Beijing or Shanghai
ROLE SUMMARY
- Senior Manager, Meeting & Event, Greater China position is part of the Global Commercial Operation and Business Analytics and will report directly to GCO Regional Lead, Greater China.
- This role will be responsible for supporting the development of meeting/event strategy and objectives which aligns with Upjohn business strategy.
- This role will be responsible for offering meeting/event approaches and platform solution for local markets.
- This role will be expected to add creativity and vision to meeting/event plans to drive customers awareness and engagement.
- This role will be responsible for overseeing all meeting/event delivery elements, utilizing standard processes and procedures to achieve customer satisfaction.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support to develop Upjohn Greater China’s meeting/event management strategy, objective and approaches that align with Upjohn business strategies and objectives.
- Build and optimize customer events and engagement systems, policies, platforms and tools to ensure the operation delivery excellence.
- Lead the development of meeting/event implementation plans. Partner with business teams and vendors to ensure meeting/event plans in align with business needs, and to ensure meeting/event drive customers awareness, engagement, acquisition, retention, and overall visibility for all relevant Upjohn products and services.
- Oversee the execution of meeting and events, including event logistics, event compliance, attendee management, customer relationship management, customer interaction and other onsite execution, to ensure flawless and compliant execution.
- Drive and provide continuous innovation in meeting/event operation to enhance sales efficiency and customer experience.
- Partner and interface with market teams to plan, prioritize and implement meeting/events to fulfil business needs.
- Assess and manage the venders, supervise operation compliance to elevate customer satisfaction.
- Oversee and maintain the relations with service providers and identify new qualified venders to ensure the venders’ service meet the business need and vender quality standards.
- Oversee the content delivered in meeting/event to ensure the content is compliance and effectively customized, and meet quality requirements from business.
- Provide meeting/event ROI insight to help business evaluate and optimize strategy.
- Serve as an expert in meeting/event to provide consulting service and guidance for business leads and market leads.
- Analyze meeting/event feedback and measure meeting/event effectiveness, providing feedback report to team members and leadership team for continues improvement.
- Ensure proper KPI identification and the development of the performance measurement plans for meeting/event platform solutions.
- Responsible for meeting/event related issue management where possible and escalation of issues where required.
- Manage and track the meeting/event budget.
QUALIFICATIONS
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor degree (BS/BA) required.
- About 10 years of Pharmaceutical Sales, Marketing, Operations and Meeting/Event experience.
- Knowledge of Pharma sector trends, healthcare dynamics and economics, customer landscape, and competitor trends and actions.
- Sufficient experience in executing meeting/event across business entities and/or geographies
- Demonstrated experienced in negotiating and building partnerships with vendors.

- Exceptional client service skills and enjoys working with the public.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and timeframes in a complex organizational structure and multitask in a cross-functional role.

- Strong strategic thinking and analytic skills.
- Strong partner relationship and collaboration skills - ability to generate credibility with and respect from colleagues and external parties at all levels in the organization
- Ability to work with metrics and KPIs to evaluate, communicate and optimize the performance.
