The opportunity:

AIA Australia has an ambitious agenda to transform to a customer and digitally enabled organisation.  Key to this transformation, is also transforming our people and organisation to ensure we can deliver on this ambition and this newly created role in our People & Culture function will be a key contributor to this.

You will be responsible for defining and executing on the strategic roadmap for People & Culture including leading the development, refresh and program management of the P&C strategic plans. In addition to budget management and planning processes, you’ll lead the people plans to support business priorities and lead strategic projects. We are accepting applications from Melbourne and Sydney. 

To do this successfully you will:

  • Lead the development, refresh and execution of annual P&C strategic plans

  • Collaborate with P&C Leadership team on the planning and roadmap for the execution of the P&C strategy

  • Support the P&CLT with quarterly reviews of progress against the P&C plan

  • Facilitate relevant P&C Strategy and planning forums

  • Oversee P&C project resources and efficiency – including workforce and capacity planning for P&C

  • Working with relevant P&C LT members, conduct reviews of current ways of working and opportunities for improvement

  • Provide program management support across key P&C initiatives to ensure appropriate planning, change management and delivery as required

Successful applications will have:

  • Degree qualified in HR/business and relevant HR functional knowledge across different HR areas and operational experience

  • Strong planning and budget management experience and a love for planning and delivery

  • Strong interpersonal skills for engaging and interfacing with all levels of management, especially senior stakeholders

  • Able to influence and lead without authority

  • Process- and controls-oriented person who thrives on change and playing a key part in driving major, transformational enterprise efforts
