STEAM Education and Research Centre

In order to further the development of innovative and multi-talented individuals, and support STEAM education, Lingnan University established the Lingnan University STEAM Education and Research Centre (SERC) with the generous support of social philanthropists. SERC mainly focuses on designing STEAM curriculum, academic and educational policy research, teacher training, student competitions, support for primary and secondary education, and academic forums.

The appointee will be responsible for (a) planning and assisting to manage the operation and development of the Centre under his/her purview to ensure research quality and effectiveness; (b) promoting the activities and services of the Centre and exploring new collaboration opportunities with different sectors partners and stakeholders; (c) formulating and implementing strategies for networking and building rapport with academia, education sector, business sector, industries and other related stakeholders; (d) drafting high quality research proposals for research grant applications; (e) coordinating different research projects and corporate training programmes; (f) coordinating various activities including workshops, academic seminars, conferences, exhibitions and competitions etc.; and (g) managing all publications, communication materials and promotion activities.

General Requirements

Applicants should have (i) a postgraduate degree in STEAM, Social Science, Education or related fields with more than ten years of relevant working experience; (ii) good networking capability and ability to establish linkages with the academia, education sector, business sector, industries and other related stakeholders; (iii) proven record in fundraising and / or planning of training programmes; (iv) excellent interpersonal skills; and (v) strong written and oral presentation skills (including spoken English, Cantonese and Putonghua). Previous working experience in universities, professional associations, think tank or other research institutes will be an advantage.

Appointment
