Senior Manager Process Development

What you will do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this role you will coordinate activities of the Process Development group to support manufacturing while leading the organization to ensure quality support.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee, coordinate and lead process development projects/activities which include new product introductions.
  • Participate in global cross-functional teams, working effectively in a highly matrixed team environment to advance projects and programs.
  • Collaborate with plant managers, manufacturing managers and senior process development staff to assess needs and update progress.
  • Determines and aligns actions to meeting functional objectives and schedules.
  • Lead a diverse, impactful team including recruitment, development and mentorship.
  • Directly participates in establishing and administering many centralized departmental projects.
  • Develop goals and objectives for the group.
  • Provide group technical guidance.
  • Make budget recommendation and oversee expenditures.
  • Able to develop solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope.
  • Make effective business/scientific presentations.

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate Degree and 2 years of Process Development, Technical Services, Medical Devices, or experience

Or

Master's Degree and 6 years of Process Development, Technical Services, Medical Devices, or experience

Or

Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of Process Development, Technical Services, Medical Devices, or experience

And

2 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources.

Preferred Requirements

  • Advanced degree in Life Science and/or Engineering
  • Final Drug Product experience in pharmaceutical/biotech industry
  • Experience in Combination Products, Medical Devices, Tech Transfer and Technology Introduction
  • Solid understanding of pharmaceutical/biotech processes such as: parenteral, process validation, process monitoring and/or process qualifications
  • Experience managing a technical group
  • Ability to prioritize efforts and delegates resources
  • Familiarity with documentation in a highly regulated environment
  • Ability to interpret and apply GLP's and GMPs
  • Ability to apply science to production
  • Digital literacy (Windows environment: Word, Excel, Power Point, Minitab)
  • Understand regulatory trends in the industry. Direct experience with FDA or other regulatory bodies
  • Independent, self-motivated, organized, ability to manage multiple resource demands and prioritization, assess project effectiveness, and skilled in communication, facilitation, and collaboration
  • Team player prepared to work in and embrace a team-based environment that relies on collaboration for effective decision-making
  • Strong leadership, technical writing, communication (written / verbal) and presentation skills
