Object of Job:
The Senior Manager Positon should ensure the quality are under effectively control. Within Daimler related regulations and processes the new Senior Manager is responsible for product audit, inline audit in the cell and module production. Carry out quality control, Quality failure (incl. customer-vehicle’s complain) evaluation, analysis, testing, escalation, countermeasure, track and report, Q-analysis room management.
Tasks:
- Quality plan implementation for new battery project and continuously improving quality concept aligned with Quality Prevention team.
- Continuously improving (CI) has to be established and implemented
- Quality Control along the existing Q-Loops and based on defined Q-Concepts.
- Q-issue analysis and failure solving of HV-Batteries in cooperation with Analysis Team at MP/FQ.
1. To investigate defect phenomenon, range, risk etc.
2. To push to analyze the root cause, make countermeasure, track the effectiveness of the countermeasures
3. To track the defect product, rework, controlling
4. Build up, operate and continuously optimize the Analyze Area. The objective is to find the root cause for the detected quality problems from the defined quality loops in close cooperation with the production department. To solve the detected root causes, countermeasures should be elaborated together with production. The new L4 need to be able to develop new Q-Loop Sensors and KPIs to improve and monitor defect findings.
- Product audit & Torque monitor: Base on requirement of quality and production, execute product audit and plan and execute in line audit.
0. Collaboration with Q-Prevention Team regarding product audit task and PA Q-release task for new variants.
1. HLA test (light/full profile), SDR test, Shaker test，dimension measurement and battery tear-down.
2. In-line audit, Torque monitor and optimize torque parameter.
3. Responsible for in-line audit task, responsible for collecting data and report for torque release.
- Customer claim management
0. Q-Loop 4: Collaboration with Analysis team to support the problem solving process and if necessary analyze electrical components.
1. Q-Loop 4+: Collaboration for Field issues with Q-Prevention team; supporting in issue analysis and problem solving process
- Q-control: Set up, implement and optimize the Quality control plan of the responsible area: Organize, implement and adapt the quality control plan yearly; Collect and understand the national quality management laws and regulations; complete and improve quality management rules, and guide the implementation; track the implementation impact, audit and evaluate according to the management procedures. Ensure and supervise the training to be implemented; manage the quality documentation, file, and technical information, responsible for the change, renew, and callback according to the procedures.
0. Align yearly ppm Targets with Q-Prevention team to track Quality and report status.
1. Create and update check instructions, work instructions and process instructions. Control the update and usage of the control plan (PLP) for product safety assurance incl. problem escalation.
2. To accomplish the team relevant performance, including cost, safety etc.

4. Daily Q-meeting and reporting etc.
5. Standardize processes and documents in Quality department
6. Regular Reporting of management suitable standard information

0. Guide, motivate and cultivate the assigned employees through agreement on objectives and performance reviews. Train the staff and enable them to fulfill the tasks with success.
1. Support of international networking as well as ensure knowledge transfer from oversea to BBAC
2. Securing the internal communication and information flow to make sure that the target of the team are realized. Recruitment and choose employees during the different periods of the project and production. Recognize potential of junior employees and propose them for promotion. Prepare the subordinated employees for their duties and responsibilities. Brief the superior of discrepancies.
3. Ensure yearly budget planning and department internal alignment to reach overall targets.
