Responsible for ongoing monitoring and development of scoring and rating models and business policy rules utilized in support of credit decisioning at DMO China Entities. Ensure implementation of DMO China risk strategy and derived risk appetite in the decision processes and systems. Ensure an optimum of automated decisions and approvals based on DMO China risk appetite. Involve credit operations teams, operations and sales as necessary as it pertains to training and feedback loop regarding scoring/rating processes. This task requires strong collaboration with the global risk instruments at DMO HQ.
Manage operations and maintenance of the credit risk assement engines (e.g. Blaze Decision Engine, Fraud Detection System, AI Credit Engine) and ensure transparency and governance for correct scorecard and business policy rules (BPR) operations. Own the local scoring guideline. Ensure timely and accurate maintenance of scorecard and BPRs with respect to effectiveness and efficiency. Coordinate the hot fix and change request processes in close collaboration with local IT and related BUs (e.g. retail credit). Liaise with sales, operations and credit operations to ensure sound data quality in the decision process. Liaise with global risk instrument at DMO HQ to prepare quarterly Monitoring and Validation reports.
Manage the design, development, and implementation of statistically sound risk based collection and recovery behavioral scoring tools and systems. Develop collection strategies that predict and address delinquency behavior, and provide the Collections team with risk-appropriate methods that make efficient use of their efforts and to be used for fraud detection.
Assess and apply state of the art methods and tools & data; manage external partner and vendor relationships to support scoring and rating. Constantly analyze and assess the latest industry and economic trends in order to provide proper analysis and tools for risk evaluation. In particular, participate in the relationship management with PBOC and drive the cooperation agreements with newly licensed credit bureaus. Analyze and assess usability of social scores and big data in DMO China credit decision process and for fraud prevention.
Participate in local and global projects regarding faster and higher automated credit approval processes, including local e-commerce initiatives. Participate in the DMO China digitalization projects in order to ensure that China utilizes best of class practices as it pertains to risk processes and quantification tools.
Monitor and calibrate as required assumptions in QCats and RORAC models to ensure proper risk and capital allocation for DMO China entities. Liaise and collaborate with local PRM team and the global risk strategy team.
Lead, motivate, empower and develop employees by target agreements and performance evaluations to fulfill the risk management strategy and prepare the leadership pipeline. Ensure a target oriented internal communication and task related qualification. Provide for employee the task related qualification regarding the requirements of Compliance. Drive employee to further develop in the career path in terms of leadership anchors via coaching activities. Ensure the achievement of agreed targets while the statisfatory level of employee feedback in terms of Great Place to Work and New Daimler Employee Survey.
