Job Summary

SAP Application Service Manager - Data Migration and Test Automation for a world leading Pharmaceutical company which operates in over 100 countries and is head quartered in the United Kingdom. The candidate is expected to manage SAP Service Delivery for a large support and maintenance project, spanning several SAP landscapes across continents.

The candidate should possess broad Technical knowledge in his/her DSP Migrate Tool and CBTA Test Automation. The candidate should have proven expertise in managing stakeholder expectations in an objective driven and drive readiness for S4 Data Migration and Testing.

Role and Responsibilities

• System Administration of the DSP Platform
  • Liaising with the vendor on patches and upgrades
  • Primary technical point of contact with the vendor
  • Monitoring and management of the platform, ensuring system resources are sufficient
  • Exploitation of new features available in DSP
  • Mentoring and developing other System Administrators
• Ownership of Data Migration as a Capability
  • Training and development of SSS SAP team in DSP
  • Knowledge and skill sharing with other AZ IT organizations
  • Liaising with other capability leads to ensure cross skilling of DSP
• Test Automation Leadership
  • Ownership of CBTA module in Solution Manager
  • Exploitation of new features available in CBTA
  • Training and development of SSS SAP Teams in test automation
  • Diving expansion of automated test suite across SAP platforms
  • Liaising with other test automation functions to share knowledge and develop synergies in cross platform testing

Required Skills and experience

• Proficient in Syniti CranSoft/DSP/SAP Data Services/ SAP LSMW / other Data Migration tool
• Extensive data quality and data migration experience including proficiency in data warehousing, data analysis and conversion planning for data migration activities
• 3 to 5 years Business-Process experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science or other related analytical or technical disciplines, or at least four (4) years related experience
• Proficient in Microsoft® SQL preferred: SQL query skills, comprehensive understanding of SQL Table structure and an understanding of relational databases.
• Should possess knowledge of SAP as a product and how each SAP module complements each other along with Business Processes.
• Better Understanding of SAP and Non SAP Technology Architecture which includes Application, Hardware and Middleware components.
• Should be able to appreciate high level Business Process mapping onto SAP as a platform
• Detailed understanding of business processes in the life sciences / pharmaceutical domain.
• Detailed understanding of Software Development Life cycle, Application Life cycle Management, Back up and Disaster Recovery processes.
• Should have experience in a validated environment and aware of GXP and SOX requirements.
• Should be able to drive and deliver continuous improvements through Service Improvements and Productivity improvements.
• Must have good knowledge of Release Management, Incident Management and Problem Management processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to grasp and understand new technological trends / concepts
• Experience in managing a globally distributed team
