YOUR TASKS
Reporting to the General Manager Central Asia Hub, you will be responsible for the following:
- Develop, implement and monitor policies, procedures and security practices to safeguard DHL employees, customers’shipments, DHL assets and information against loss, damage or incident
- Co-ordinate Hub security activities and ensure compliance of DHL staff and sub-contractors with security procedures as specified in the Regional Security Policy and Procedures Manual
- Conduct security audits and assist other audit teams e.g. airline audits, both proactively and reactively to assess the effectiveness of security practices and procedures
- Co-ordinate the implementation of stipulated and other relevant Security training programmes for Hub personnel
- Developed extensive contacts with Security personnel in a variety of industries, including the airfreight /airline industry as well as local law enforcement and regulatory agencies
- Prepare and analyze the database information for the production of regular reports on shipment and other security incidents, including Dangerous Goods. Where appropriate, recommend and initiate actions to investigate and resolve significant security incidents as they occur
- Maintain a current threat and risk analysis by systematic analysis of national and international events and criminal trends.
- Provide advisory and support to comply with the requirements of local Authority bodies/Aviation on security matters
- Head up the Safety Committee in regards to the development, implementation and ongoing monitoring of the company’s Safety Management System
YOUR PROFILE
- University graduate
- Post Graduate qualifications in a security or risk management related field would be an advantage.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in law enforcement/security profession of which at least five years at a supervisory level
- Possess services experience in HKSAR disciplinary department and/or working experience in air express or logistics industries will be an advantage
- Membership of professional bodies such as the American Society for Industrial Security or Asia Crisis & Security Group.
- Holder of IATA/FIATA Dangerous Goods Regulations Certificate would be an asset
- Excellent command of spoken and written English and Cantonese. Mandarin is an advantage
- Highly self-motivated, confident, well-organized and analytical
- Possesses strong presentation and interpersonal skills;
- Able to work independently and under pressure
- Have a strong customer focus
