Responsible for developing and implementing tax strategies, tax accounting and tax filing / reporting to optimise the tax paid by AIA and to ensure compliance with AIA group tax policy and statutory and regulatory requirements

·      Support Group Tax’s efforts in relation to Tax Strategy and Planning, which includes working with other parts of the business to progress specific initiatives to prepare the business for anticipated tax developments

·      Actively monitor significant areas of tax uncertainties for the Group, including working with local teams and external advisors to obtain information in relation to any significant areas of tax controversy across the Group as well as key tax developments in the relevant jurisdictions

·      Prepare updates on tax matters for Group management (including senior Group Finance leadership) and relevant external communications

·      Provide tax input for proposed strategic finance initiatives and other significant proposed transactions, including working with local team and external advisors on tax due diligence and structuring, as well as working with other relevant functions at Group level to deliver on project objectives

·      Report directly to Associate Director/Director in Group Tax
