Job Description

Perform as the key account tax senior manager of Daimler China parts entities and branches (DPTS and MBPM), manage daily tax operations and advice on Chinese tax issues for the Daimler China parts entities and branches to achieve both tax compliance and tax optimization.
Be responsible for FF/G central functions, including tax digitalization/policy/process/training, etc.
Perform as the window contact person, providing the guideline and general tax treatment support to China HR in respect of the Individual Income Tax.
Be responsible for FF/G central functions, including:
- Digitalization: lead and implement FF/G digitalization projects for new systems and enhancement on existing systems; also monitor and ensure smooth operation of digital systems;
- Efficiency Drive: lead and implement efficiency improvement projects/initiatives (e.g. process optimization) within FF/G;
- Risk management and Reporting: following DAI risk management requirements and management reporting requests;
- PRC Tax & Customs Regulation monitoring: analyze, study, communicate PRC regulation changes and impact to DAI business operations;
- Training Management: implement external and internal training programs to ensure adequate knowledge for FF/G staff;
- Processes: ensure group, company and FF/G internal processes are efficient and effective from tax perspective, and align technical; and practical tax positions within FF/G; and lead or support on behalf of FF/G for cross-functional process related projects assigned from external departments
Manage daily tax operations for DPTS and MBPM to achieve both tax compliance and tax optimization, including:
•Supervising the monthly/yearly tax closing;
•Supervising the monthly/yearly tax filing and tax payments;
•Constantly monitoring/supervising the tax benefit application/registration process to ensure tax beneficiary treatments are properly achieved;
•Supervising the tax clearance for payments to DAG, other DAI overseas companies and third party overseas vendors;
•Communicating with the business units for tax registration of cross-border non-trade purchase agreement and managing such tax registrations;
•Supervising the withholding tax payments for overseas suppliers (e.g. DAI overseas) and negotiating with the tax bureaus to secure the tax position of DAI overseas;
•Dealing and negotiating with the tax authorities in tax assessments and tax audits;
Advise on the Chinese tax issues to DPTS and MBPM, including but not limited to:
•Actively involving in the business operations and new business models to assure tax compliance and tax optimization;
•Identifying tax risks and providing/implementing the solutions;
•Reviewing and signing off of the contracts to control the tax risk and assure the best tax position;
•Solving daily tax issues raised by F&C and business units;
•Coordinating with and report to the HQ tax in relation to any international tax issues;
•Identifying the tax planning opportunities and assure the best compliant tax position, work out implementation plan, and lead the implementation for DPTS and MBPM.
Provide the general support in guidelines, regulatory changes and tax implications to China HR in respect of the Individual Income Tax (IIT), including:
•Supporting local HR in defining the guidelines relating to IIT;
•Supporting HR to understand the China IIT regulation changes which may impact the HR IIT related operations;
•Supporting local HR in negotiation with tax bureau in tax assessments and tax audits to assure the best tax position;
•Supporting HR in their IIT projects to safeguard tax compliance and tax optimization;
•Supporting local HR to manage the external tax consultant to provide best quality of services.
Management of assigned staff, including:
•Creating the conditions for collaboration and common responsibility for achieving results;
•Delegating and matching tasks with staff, encouraging staff to take challenges and creating opportunities for staff to develop and produce the advantage;
•Motivating and establishing process of continuous learning and the improvement and delivery of top performance;
•Regularly reviewing and tracking goal achievement of staff and give feedback on staff’s job performance;
•Providing coaching for staff and developing methods of analyzing mistakes in order to improve staff’s performance and behavior.
