Eaton’s Electrical division is currently seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. This position is based at our Cleveland, TN facility. The Senior Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for planning, organizing and controlling (supervise) overall Manufacturing programs or personnel as an individual or functional leader which will result in significant or important advancements in productivity, product cost, quality and/or the maintenance of the plant facilities equipment and its production process. In this role, you will perform a wide variety of engineering and technical tasks involving the application of engineering knowledge and the development of solutions to complex problems pertaining to products, materials, manufacturing processes, tests, and unique design applications. In this function you will: Manage all projects and/or personnel in support of division plant and/or project objectivities. Develop approaches to solving problems in processes, tooling, equipment, facilities and cost. Plan details and implement required industrialization methods, tooling and equipment into the manufacturing operation. Establish and maintain departmental expense and capital expenditures with pre-established budgets. Control manufacturing processes, equipment and facilities to meet Federal and State Regulations and/or functions as the corporate insurance contact. Provide the leadership and/or support to energy conservation programs. Develop technical, engineering and support talent. Provide leadership and support to those programs that will improve our plant productivity goals. Develop and implement cost reductions to meet or exceed departmental and plant goals. Maintain a high morale level within departments and promote goodwill in and out of the company. Provide procedures that will effectively control specific requirements. Provide support to Quality Programs to improve product, process and procedural integrity. Support Change Control, Special Characteristic identification, relevant ISO procedures, Engineering Work Instructions as well as Eaton’s Environmental Health and Safety Process (MESH). Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technical Science from an accredited institution. Minimum of two (2) years manufacturing engineering experience. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without out company sponsorship, now or in the future. No relocation is offered for this position. All candidates must currently reside within 50 miles of the Cleveland, TN facility to be considered. Preferred Qualifications: Minimum of five (5) years of experience showing proficiency in manufacturing process or manufacturing support of products using mechanical or electrical principals. LEAN Manufacturing Experience. Six Sigma Experience. Previous experience with sheet metal fabrication. Previous experience with NC programming.
