Eaton’s Aerospace Division is currently seeking a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. This position is based at our Euclid, OH facility. Position Overview: The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will support multiple value steams and process improvement initiatives throughout the facility. In this role, you will: Develop and prepare complete manufacturing processes for product hardware of above average complexity in order to meet/exceed the departmental goals of L.U., MPS, and scrap and lead time. Determine all tooling, gauging, and equipment requirements Design and implement cutting tools, fixtures, and gages for manufacturing and assembly operations Provide support to floor issues with respect to all manufacturing and assembly areas Work on continuous improvement projects that support Eaton’s Lean Manufacturing and Cost Out methodologies Support new program development and ‘Design for Manufacturability’ reviews Participate in the procurement and start-up of new capital equipment Generate part programs for 2/4 and 5 axis CNC lathes and machining centers. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Industrial Technology from an accredited institution. Minimum three (3) years engineering experience in a manufacturing/machining environment. No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of the Euclid, OH facility will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Design manufacturing experience. Operations or manufacturing engineering experience. Minimum of two (2) years manufacturing engineering experience related to assembly. Sound manufacturing background (Processing, Programming, Assembly, and Tooling). Excellent working knowledge of SPC and Six-Sigma principles.
