What will you do?

The Senior Global Market Development Manager for our Advanced Cell Models (ACM) business will be focused on product launches and communicating our portfolio of solutions for a diverse product portfolio including stem cells, neurobiology, 3D models, primary cells, and drug discovery assays and services. The successful candidate will lead the ACM market development team and be responsible for setting the strategic direction and ensuring the tactical implementation of activities and deliverables supporting key application areas.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
 

  • Develop strategic, multi-channel integrated marketing plans for areas of responsibility, including customer segmentation, competitor analysis, business trends, market opportunities, and staging and pacing of marketing tactical programs
  • Guide the development of copy and creative content for applicable markets, appropriately positioning products for customer segments, while conveying strong value propositions and clear product differentiation
  • Collaborate and ensure alignment of marketing plans among Product Management, Regional Market Development Partners, Commercial Leaders, and other stakeholders
  • Develop and execute engaging marketing campaigns to achieve measurable results for new and/or existing products
  • Maintain campaign metrics dashboards to measure the effectiveness of marketing activities
  • Propose and execute on customer and market research programs to provide key market insights and actionable business outcomes
  • Maintain knowledge of the trends and competitive activity relevant to the product lines and relevant markets
  • Manage marketing budgets and optimize the channel mix on campaigns to achieve a high return on investment
  • Guide, manage and develop global market development managers
  • Act as a brand ambassador, understanding, upholding, and communicating our multi-brand strategy in all aspects of our marketing programs
  • Interact with varying levels of internal and external personnel including direct customer communication, KOL engagement and management, and public presentation
  • Collaborate with other marketing leads to develop and execute on appropriate cross-marketing opportunities throughout the division
  • May perform other related duties as required and/or assigned

How will you get here?
Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology OR Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, engineering or related degree
Experience:
 
  • 7+ years of experience developing a marketing strategy and successfully implementing marketing plans reagents/consumable portfolios
  • 5+ years of people management with strong coaching, situational leadership and career development skills
  • Development of product marketing plans, general knowledge of operating plans or industry practices for promoting and selling similar products.
  • Demonstration of digital marketing expertise with proven campaigns in display advertising, search engine marketing and optimization, social, video and automation approaches
  • Experience in primary cell markets is a strong plus
  • Travel is required

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Exceptional communication skills as well as analytical, project management and planning skills necessary.
  • Knowledge of: 4Ps, marketing communication mix, communication channels, channels-to-market, segmentation, value proposition and marketing program development and execution, content strategy/marketing, content audit, voice of customer research, customer journey maps and marketing automation technologies.
  • Strong business acumen and customer focus are essential.
  • A strong record building alignment in cross-functional teams
