What you’ll do
Reporting to the Franchise Head, Biologics, the Senior Marketing Manager (SMM)- BioResp- will be a key leader in further developing the “best in class” Specialty Care capability at AstraZeneca focusing on patients with Severe Asthma. Based on an extensive understanding of the market, the incumbent will take a leadership role in defining the vision and strategic/tactical plans in partnership with senior leaders.
The successful candidate for this role will be an entrepreneurial leader with a passion for customer engagement and putting patients first. You play to win but do the right thing and act with integrity, even when it is difficult.
Your role in helping us achieve our leadership ambition will be to:
Lead the cross-functional team to build a strategic plan to maintain leadership in the existing market. The SMM will have accountability to maximize the forward-thinking potential of the brand through cross-functional development and execution of the Brand Strategy, Positioning, Segmentation and Operational Plans
Accountability for coaching and developing two Marketing Manager (MM) direct reports
In collaboration with Medical and Global Stakeholders, lead the development of strategies and plans for future indications in existing and new therapeutic areas
Be a digital leader empowering the brand team to improve omni and channel marketing, using the latest innovations to build the best customer experience with your patient-centric approach
Work collaboratively with the Patient Value, Access and Policy Team to navigate the reimbursement process to successfully secure and optimize patient access to therapy
Partner with the Patient Centre of Excellence Team to deliver a patient support program that provides outstanding patient care
Uphold a best-in-class commercial mindset to maintain leadership in pharmaceutical industry and the respiratory therapeutic area while cultivating an inclusive high-performance environment that values and leverages diversity
Responsible for collecting and reporting Adverse Events in accordance with AstraZeneca policies and procedures
Qualifications
University degree in science and/or business
Specialty care Marketing experience is preferred, respiratory therapeutic area expertise an asset
Business acumen: strong strategic thinking and planning skills with ability to implement plans with excellence
Embraces an agile mindset to develop necessary processes to ensure consistent deliverables. Knows how to mobilize people and activities effectively to achieve impactful outcomes
Experience building and executing digital strategies including omnichannel
Experienced collaborator with inclusive leadership style and proven ability to work successfully within a diverse team
Proven strong influencing skills and communication skills
Financial acumen: capable of driving and managing budget responsibilities and inputting on forecast assumptions
