Senior Marketing Manager, Future Portfolio
Position Type: Regular, full-time
Location: Mississauga, Head Office
Responsibilities:
You will provide commercial strategic and tactical management for products in pre-launch development. With a focus on select pipeline Respiratory and Immunology assets in commercial development, you are responsible for the attainment of overall marketing goals, including share performance, revenue and profit.
Working locally and globally, you will build forward-thinking comprehensive product plans to improve the value of products in development and optimize product launch. You ensure the product, brand, and customer needs are fully integrated to improve competitive advantage for AstraZeneca Canada through:
- Encouraging cross functional Alliance relationships for select brands and leading the planning and implementation process with Alliance partners
- Building cross functional relationships and leading teams to integrate work with medical, regulatory, and market access/pricing colleagues and associated customers/partners
- Providing new insights to the AstraZeneca Global Marketing organization to ensure long term product/portfolio success and that the specific needs of the Canadian market are included in global development plans
- Creating and maintaining a network of customer/KEE contacts and AstraZeneca Global colleagues to share new insights and ongoing pre-launch planning input
- Managing the development, design, and execution of pre-launch and launch commercialization plans in collaboration with medical, sales, and inline marketing colleagues aligned to our strategic direction
- Objectively assessing opportunities, building short and long-term forecasts and managing inventory levels for assigned areas
- Understanding and providing insight in portfolio planning, capability building, and product resourcing across the future Respiratory pipeline
Qualifications:
- University degree or equivalent in science and/or business
- Well-developed scope and depth of marketing, with 3 yearsof product management experience
- Minimum of 1-year Emerging Brand marketing (2 to 5 years pre-launch) is preferred
- Minimum of 3 years in the development and successful implementation of Alliance Planning, i.e. co-promotion of products is an asset
- Relevant and recent experience commercializing speciality products. Experience in biologics/biosimilars and rare diseases/indications
- Experience with facilitating access and an understanding of patient service/support programs, a key asset
- Strong strategic and portfolio planning experience
- Strong communication skills, presentation skills and interpersonal skills
- Major launch brand experience preferred
- Successful history of cross-functional team leadership with well-developed understanding of regulatory and payer environments
- Works both internally and externally to accomplish cross-boundary work including creating shared purpose and setting shared goals and priorities. Can effectively coach, mentor, and guide teams and individuals who do not report directly to them
- Able to travel (5-15%) within Canada and globally
