What you’ll do

Reporting to the Franchise Head – Lung Cancer/Immuno-Oncology, the Senior Marketing Manager (SMM) – Immuno-Oncology (IO) will be a key leader solidifying Imfinzi as the standard of care in Stage III non-small cell lung cancer patients (NSCLC) as well as launching into new indications within early stage and metastatic lung cancer as well as additional tumour sites such as Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC) among others.

The successful candidate for this role will be an entrepreneurial leader with a passion for customer engagement and putting patients first. You play to win but do the right thing and act with integrity, even when it is difficult.

Your role in helping us achieve our leadership ambition will be:

  • Lead the growth trajectory of Imfinzi to becoming the standard of care for Stage III unresectable NSCLC patients with a no patient left behind philosophy.

  • Lead the Canadian launch of Imfinzi for patients with Small Cell Lung Cancer and prepare the launch plan for HCC.

  • Build the IO Strategy and Imfinzi positioning across multiple tumour sites and customer groups.

  • You are the face of the brand to the Lung/IO Sales Team and will co-lead the cross-functional One Lung Leadership Team (in collaboration with the Tagrisso Senior Marketing Manager). This includes accountability for the teams's objective to improve the strategic direction for the brand potential through cross-functional development and execution of the Strategy, Positioning, Strategic and Operational plans across all indications and tumour sites.

  • Collect and report Adverse Events in accordance with AstraZeneca policies and procedures.

This role has 1 direct report, Marketing Manager (MM) – Imfinzi with an additional new MM hire expected in the next 6-12 months.

You are joining a team of individuals that is interested in building a culture that is science and patient-focused, agile and high-performing. Your role within this Oncology team will be to work collaboratively with the other Oncology SMMs and MMs to improve practices and seek opportunities for learning and shared platforms.

Qualifications

  • University degree in science and/or business

  • Oncology or specialty care experience is preferred

  • Product management experience is necessary with previous Launch experience preferred

  • Proven experience in working collaboratively with Medical and Access functions

  • People management is a definite asset

  • Strong critical thinking and planning skills

  • Strong communication and presentation skills

  • Well-developed impact & influence and coaching skills

  • High self-awareness

  • Strong team contributor, building positive relationships and fostering a goal focused, supportive approach to work
