Job Description
Hours: Mon-Fri Start time 8am-10am end time 6:30pm
Overtime: 10+ hours per week and on weekends when needed
Pay: 17.50-19/hr.

Responsible for performing the physical or combined administrative/physical tasks involved in the shipping and receiving of material, counting and picking of materials for Production orders. Compiles and maintains records of quantity, cost and type of material stocked and issued.

How will you make an impact?
Responsible for performing the physical or combined administrative/physical tasks involved in the shipping and receiving of material, counting and picking of materials for Production orders. Compiles and maintains records of quantity, cost and type of material stocked and issued.
What will you do?
- Handle delicate items with a very high attention to detail.
- Unpack, label, and put inventory items into stockroom locations.
- Package items for shipment and internal manufacturing lines.
- Print postage, and ship through FedEx and UPS.
- Scheduling Freight shipments
- Perform shipping/receiving/finished goods transactions in MS NAV (ERP)
- Perform weekly cycle counts and other inventory control initiatives.
- Monitor shipping and receiving dock.
- Ability to resolve material (inbound, outbound) transaction issues, independently and in a timely fashion to ensure accuracy.
- Develops positive relationships with internal departments, external customers, and suppliers.
- Extensive experience obtaining export licenses from government agencies as needed for International shipments (Required)
- Assures compliance with customs, export, applicable foreign trade/importation laws, as well as applicable federal transport regulations.
- May perform other related duties as required and/or assigned.
Education
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- Requires a minimum of 4-6 years related experience.
- Experience in logistics with a life science company preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Forklift certification
- Works primarily at customer locations, in office environment to include shipping/receiving docks, stock rooms, storage locations and laboratory environments
- Extensive walking may be required
- Must be able to lift, push and pull 30-40 pounds consistently; may be required to lift 50 lbs.
- May be able to use material handling equipment such as push carts, hand trucks, and pallet jacks
- Depending on area of building, personal protective equipment may be worn to include lab coats, coveralls, hood, facemask, hairnets and/or safety gloves
- Some areas require steel toe shoes, bump hats and/or safety glasses
