The Fuel and Motion Control Systems Division of Eaton’s Aerospace Group has an opening for a Senior Materials Planner. The position will be based in Euclid, Ohio. Sponsorship is not available! Position Overview: The Senior Materials Planner is responsible for driving on-time delivery through material flow planning and ensuring optimal scheduling of MRO production and delivery. In this function you will: Provide High Performance Work Teams with transparency to longer term plan, material availability, and work center loading through daily / weekly / monthly reviews. Active partner with HPW Team. Evaluate material needed for Assembly and address shortages throughout day. Monitor inventory transactions to assure material is being processed in an accurate and timely manner. Identify and communicate potential delays and/or problems to internal and external customers which may impede customer delivery. Maximize material availability by proactively identifying future work order material shortage by pump model and by working with Master Planner to support customer requirements. Provide planning support to manufacturing cell by releasing material, planning work centers schedule, and completing stocking transactions Act as a positive force in the organization, helping drive Lean Planning efforts to tightly align supply to demand throughout the plant, focusing on work order integrity, production load, finite schedule attainment, and inventory reduction. Attend assigned Tier 2 meeting. Identify critical shortages & relay projected delivery dates. Update delivery section of the tier boards. Manage expense part bags to replenish 2 bin system (Kanban System). Evaluate and recommend changes to planning parameters like lot size, lead time, and safety stock levels. Analyze data, including enterprise requirements planning information (work order, work center, inventory, forecast) and prepare consolidated managerial reports as needed to facilitate and recommend actions to improve plant/product line supply chain execution. Leads and participates on manufacturing cell improvement teams, driving the continuous improvement of operations by setting/communicating goals, team building, and analysis. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from accredited institution Minimum 2 years supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment. This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee. No relocation will be offered for this position. Only candidates who reside within a 50 mile radius of the Euclid, OH facility will be considered for this position. Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management. Knowledge of materials planning systems (MRP/ERP) requirements and order generation process logic. Thorough understanding of Materials Management operational concepts surrounding production planning, scheduling, purchasing, and inventory control. Detailed knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Process Variation Reduction (Six Sigma) concepts and tool sets as they relate to materials management. Experience leading cross-functional process improvement teams. Experience operating within a mature SIOP environment. High level of analytical skills unitizing ERP data, identifying trends and exceptions. CPIM certification Prior knowledge in machining within the aerospace industry.
