The Senior Mechanical Engineer in our eMobility sector will conceptualize, manage the design, development, testing, technical documentation, and launch of new products and extensions to existing product lines. Your main responsibilities: You will drive and participate in requirements evaluation, design reviews and other team development processes. You will ensure Eaton stays abreast of new and emerging technologies and materials and using CAD tools to design and evaluate product integrity in order to facilitate rapid deployment. You will manage the review of product requirements specification based on input from customer OEMs. You will generate (when necessary) the product requirements specification from the Voice of Customer (VOC) input. You will follow the product spec, design, and development of new and innovative products. You will conduct testing of all new products in accordance with CPD standards and customer requirements. You will launch new products following a formal stage-gate process. You will investigate and evaluate new materials and their appropriate use within our product line. You will review computer-based FEA & FMEA analysis on new products to ensure their integrity and use the results to modify designs. You will be responsible for timely completion of all engineering activities in Power and Distribution Protection product development on each phase. You will be responsible for cooperation with OEMs, build and maintain relationship with plants and other Eaton engineering locations. Qualifications Your essential skills we are looking for: Required Qualifications: Master’s degree in Engineering (preferred form electrical area) from an accredited institution. Minimum of 3 years of experience in new product development of electric/electronic solutions. Technical knowledge in electrical power distribution component and assemblies. In depth knowledge in domestic and international industry standards. Minimum 2 years of experience in automotive market, the environmental requirements and/or related qualification testing required. Must be fluent in written and verbal communication in Polish and English. Minimum 2 years of experience with: CREO-ProE. in working of leading all project phases: concept, design and development, validation and tests. With proven achievements. in coordination work of small team and mentoring for less experienced engineers. with aluminum die casting design. with power conversion and power distribution. with injection molded plastics design. with stamped busbar and electrical contact system design. in GD&T techniques appliance. Preferred Qualifications: Ability to utilize specialized techniques for development to launch process improvements including development stage gate processes and Design for Six Sigma tools. High level understanding of packaging and mounting issues. Establishing design rules. GD&T Technologist Level or Senior Level certification. Experience in development and packaging Printed Circuit Boards. Experience making engineering decisions using results from mechanical design analysis performed with ANSYS or other FEA tools etc. Experience with DFx practices: Manufacturing, Test, Repair, Quality. Successful IP disclosures or patent applications in related fields or technical papers or publications issued or presented in relevant forums or media.
