1. Participate in the review of product requirements specification based on input from marketing and customers; 2. Participate in design reviews and other team development processes; 3. Following the product spec, design, development new and innovative products; 4. Conduct testing of all new products in accordance with related standards and customer requirements; 5. Complete appropriate technical documentation; 6. Work with industrial team to support production line set up; 7. Launch new product line extensions following a stage-gate process (i.e., PROLaunch) ; 8. Investigate and analyze new materials and their appropriate use within our product line; 9. Review and conduct computer-based FEA & FMEA analysis on new products to ensure their integrity and use the results to modify designs; 10. Keep abreast of new and emerging technologies and materials and uses computer software tools to design and analyze product integrity to facilitate rapid deployment; 11. Extensive manufature process knowledge with emphasis on plastic injection,metal stamping,mechaning,casting and powder metal. Extensive materials knowledge with emphasis on heat treatment,welding and surface treatment. Low voltage DC design experience is prefered. Tolerance calcuation capacity is prefered. 12. Establish and maintain a collaborative working relationship with all other team, manage mechanical resources to support all product development for all CPCD projects; 13. Participate in new product and technology development trend thinking and review; 14. Perform other duties as assigned; Qualifications Education level required: Bachelor’s Degree and above in Mechanical Engineering, prefer master Years and area of experience required: 1. 8 or more years experience in new product development in electromechanical systems, low voltage field prefered; 2.Rich experience in metal and plastic components design; Technical knowledge: 1. Experience in low voltage component product design, especially ACB and MCCB products design experience; 2. Proven history of designing and executing new product development programs; 3. Must be an expert in the use of Pro-E, AutoCAD or other software design tools; 4. Have knowledge on FEA/FMEA simulation, some experience prefered; 5. Experience in utilizing DFSS method to solve technical issues, as well as customer application problem; 6. Good understanding of commercial markets and the environmental requirements and related qualification testing required; 7. Extensive knowledge of a wide variety of low voltage system applicaiton; Soft skills: 1.Good communication skill, fluent English both in written and oral; 2.Strong team work spirit; 3.Open attitiude to coach young engineers. #LI-JL2 We make what matters work.
