Senior Merchandise Manager-Hardgoods:

Job description

• Work independently with factory and customers on follow up work

• Supervise a team of merchandisers in the entire product development and order process to ensure customer satisfaction and on time delivery

• Provide advice and suggestions on product design to meet customers' buying objectives

• Build and maintain a strong vendor network for product development and production

• Lead price negotiation with vendors and mills, insure design requirements are met for both product and margin stand point

• Create and enhance long-term business relationships with customers to maximize business growth and opportunities

• Experience in global sourcing to achieve business objectives and customer needs

• Develop new business opportunities with existing and new customers

• Responsible for managing the performance of vendors, order management, production tracking till delivery and contract provision for suppliers

• Lead the teams of merchandising in China

• Identify areas for improvements, new sourcing opportunities and establish procedures to deliver tangible cost savings and speed

• Excellent business development, client development and relationship building with service mindset

• Perform other duties as assigned by Management

• Supervise and support the whole merchandising functions to ensure smooth work-flow in co-ordination with factories on sampling and bulk order allocation, follow-through of production status and process, updating production requirement and delivery

• Provide support and solution for production or development problems with factories and internal stakeholders

Requirement

• Experience in Hardline industry, familiar with various products including Domestic appliance, Furniture, Kitchen, Table Top, Textile, household etc…

• Diploma or Degree in related discipline preferred

• Minimum 10 years' relevant experience with at least 5 years in managerial level with solid experience to work with customers directly

• Strong product and material knowledge with good development skills, and familiar with merchandising and product development process

• Able to work under pressure, result oriented, excellent communication skills, self-motivated, responsive and detail minded

• Strong negotiation, planning & organization skills and able to follow up details closely

• Proactively with excellent interpersonal skill, strong analytical and problem solving skills

• Aggressive and can work under pressure

• Good time management and prioritization

• Good command of written and spoken English and Mandarin

• Literate in Microsoft office program

• Travelling is required
