Brief description of the position:

Independently manage the complete back end process for the following categories which are being developed from an existing range of products: Houseware, tableware, cookware, flatware, cutlery, bath & SPA, Pet and personal care.

• 
  Supplier management

  • Price and payment term negotiations

  • Source and recommend new factories preferable out of existing network

  • On time delivery

  • Supplier compliance.

• Final responsible for the following tasks

  • Order follow up

    • Place orders with the factories, Shipping, Inspection of the goods

  • Sample collection and shipments

  • New product development

    • Packaging, Product specification, QA standard

• Assisting in sales activities

  • Recommend new products in the market

• Profile requirements:

  • Independent, organized and responsible

  • Team player

  • Good interpersonal skills to work with overseas buyers and vendors

  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills

  • Willing to travel on regular bases to factories

• Experience

  • 8 years working experience of which at least 2 year in a senior role working with buying offices or directly with major retailers in any of the following categories Houseware, tableware, cookware, flatware, cutlery, bath & SPA, Pet and personal care.

  • Strong network of existing suppliers in the above mentioned categories
