BUSINESS OVERVIEW: Municipal trading for both institutional and high net worth clients totaling over 25 billion in assets. Having a wide range of industry knowledge to certain sectors as hospitals, airports, CCRC, and tobacco markets. Working well with Portfolio managers and credit team to deliver above average returns to client accounts by generating Alpha. Maintaining strong relationships with the street while providing best execution. Implementing team strategy for a wide range of client accounts as regards to sector allocation, security selection, curve positioning, and duration management. Ability to prioritize while working in a fast pace environment. Provide weekly reporting on trading activity and upcoming municipal calendar. JOB DESCRIPTION: (Can make edits/changes as long as you do not change scope of the role) Executes highly complex and large trade orders in an efficient, timely and cost effective manner. Cash and duration management for client accounts Working knowledge of taxable municipal market Ensures transaction pricing are aligned with both bank and client requirements. Liaises with compliance and legal bodies to ensure risk and capital management policies are followed. Works with large or highly complex client accounts or products. Largely owns pricing processes for securities traded. Provides junior traders and clients with expertise regarding security vehicles and trading strategies to maximize portfolio performance. Maintains broad expertise in all product offerings. Manages risk associated with trades. Serves as a cross-functional resource on the needs assessment and trade execution strategies. Identifies high-risk problems and provide solutions, adjusting as necessary, within broad trading strategies and procedures. Provides strategic and tactical market advice Qualifications Bachelors degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Advanced/graduate degree preferred. 7-10 years of total work experience preferred. Experience in trading or brokerage preferred.
