About The Role:

The SDL Amsterdam or Leuven office is in need of an experienced and talented Microsoft .NET Developer who’s proficient in developing enterprise scale software. You will work as part of a dedicated back-end team developing the SDL Tridion Docs software; working on integrations and bringing it to the Cloud.

The Microsoft .NET Developer will work with one of our main products, SDL Tridion Docs provides the services and software which empower global organizations to single-source content, share, reuse and personalize content in various output formats and in multiple languages across global markets. Through efficiency gains, SDL’s customers are able to speed up the time of information going to global markets, drive down the cost of content development and translation, provide more agility for the overall business, and increase customer satisfaction through access to better information.

 

Responsibilities

• You will bring leadership on the back end and supporting services development
• Understanding the added value of stable integration and automation among two or more products, thereby designing and developing new features and extensions
• You will be part of roadmap, design, QA and release management
• Product oriented thinking; reworking and keeping up with current standards
• Working with Product Management and Product Owners to shape the product backlog
• Leading the CI/CD and automation efforts
• Reporting progress and identifying, escalating and removing obstacles that might endanger the agreed release date
• Reviewing peer deliverables
• Active team participation including attending daily SCRUM meetings
• Providing input to technical writers
• Assisting functional and technical testers

 

Requirements:

Essential

• 5+ years’ experience as a software developer
• Solid experience with .NET / C#
• Experience in application development, both client and server side;
• Excellent fundamental knowledge of computer systems, algorithms, flows etc.
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbally and written
• Team player mentality; in an open plan office
• Problem solving skills, keeping overview with an eye for detail;
• Organizational skills
• Pragmatic, get things done attitude with excellent organizational skills

 

Desirable

• Product oriented thinking, preferably experience in working for a product company
• Experience with Automation through PowerShell
• Experience with Elasticsearch, Solr, Redis, Graph databases and APIs
• Experience with using a content management system;
• Experience with agile development;
• Experience with the agile Scrum roles like product owner or scrum master
• Knowledge of XML, XSLT, DTD, XSD;
• Knowledge of XML Editors like oXygen XML Editor or JustSystems XMetaL
