Responsibilities

• Develop market perspectives, increase institutional IQ, deliver business insights and be the resident expert for multiple areas of importance for the org.
• Partner closely with org leadership, planning/research/product leads to identify the problem areas where Microsoft Healthcare NExT can have the greatest impact and define NExT’s value proposition mapping to those areas
• Gather and analyze information, formulate and test hypotheses, and develop and communicate recommendations for short- and long-term product roadmaps
• Competitive analysis, value prop & business model development, revenue projections and customer requirements
• Develop what-if scenarios and tradeoff analyses across investment options, partnership opportunities.
• Provide program management, problem-solving support, and initiative leadership on special projects or initiatives of cross-cutting importance

Qualifications

Required:

• 7+ years of experience in product planning, product management, management consulting or related relevant experience.
• BS/MS in technical field

Preferred:

• MD or advanced degree in Biology, Chemistry or other Science/Life Sciences  
• MBA or equivalent degree 
• Experience in product commercialization in a technology or healthcare space. 
• Deep expertise in recent research and technology developments in healthcare and life sciences
• Product management/marketing experience (Outbound marketing/PR/communications experience is not required, but a focus on translating technical/scientific product to a consumable format, understanding how product marketing process works) 
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with significant ambiguity as projects evolve. 
• Has clear and well-thought communication; can build trust with stakeholders and manage expectations.
• Working experience with forecasting, economic / statistical models.
