Eaton’s Electrical Critical Power and Digital Infrastructure division is currently seeking a Senior Planner to join our team. This position is based at our Raleigh, NC facility. The Senior Planner is an integral member of Power Quality Division (PQD) Supply Chain Team, with responsibilities for inventory procurement activities, aligning purchasing strategies to best achieve the customer’s requirements, while managing supplier capacity and inventory levels for a specified group of products. In this function you will: Plan and purchase all raw materials and manufactured parts for assigned production lines utilizing SAP ERP system ensuring customer demand is met. Maintain accurate and updated records and files for products/services assigned, such as; purchase orders, quotations, correspondence, supplier management and/or organizational charts. Manage and communicate demand requirements with manufacturing and supplier, considering capabilities/capacities to ensure completion of customer requirements. Align strategies to meet Plant and Divisional metric measurement goals, such as; on time delivery, cost reduction and quality. Analyze data and prepare reports as needed to facilitate and recommend actions to ensure optimal supply chain execution. Resolve supplier non-conforming Material Notices for products assigned and obtain cost recovery for supplier related problems. Manage logistics for all direct materials for assigned utilizing Eaton route process to ensure timely shipments to plant. Provide back up support for other schedulers on the team. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. Minimum of three (3) years related professional experience in supply chain or operations in a manufacturing setting. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future. No relocation is being offered for this role. All candidates considered must live within 50 miles of the Raleigh, NC facility. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management. Master’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field. SAP Experience. CPIM or other supply chain certification. Previous experience in production planning in a Make to Order manufacturing environment. Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma concepts and tool sets as they relate to production scheduling and materials management. Microsoft Office proficiency. Position Success Criteria: Ability to demonstrate knowledge of ERP requirements and customer order processing Basic understanding of bill of materials, product costing, order entry, and typical supply chain functions. Ability to demonstrate problem solving and analytical skills Excellent interpersonal skills, including strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to present data effectively to support recommendations regarding supply/demand plan. Ability to adjust work priorities to meet continuously changing schedules Maintaining sense of urgency to customers’ requirements. Why work at Eaton?
