Eaton’s Fuel & Motion Control sector of our Aerospace Group is currently seeking a Senior Planner to join our team. This position is based at our Los Angeles, California facility (near Glendale metro). Position Overview: The Fuel and Motion Control Systems Division of Eaton’s Aerospace Group has an opening for Senior Planner. This position is responsible for interfacing with program personnel for all programs to support new product development activities as required. This position performs diversified duties related to MRP planning, scheduling, and expediting finished goods and components in order to support strategic inventory goals and to ensure on time delivery of customer orders. Requires judgment in anticipating future requirements through analysis and interpretation of current production status. Manages the inventory and production plan for a given product group to optimize and meet plant goals. The LA facility has approximately 300 employees and is a leader in the design, development, manufacture and delivery of Aerospace hydraulic components, systems and services to the global aftermarket and OEM markets. In this function you will: Review customer demand, plant capacity and inventory to develop schedules that meet production requirements Plans and releases work orders as required to meet customer demand while maintaining optimum lead time and inventory level Develops, maintains, and presents lines of balance on program deliveries. Analyzes and interprets pertinent inventory information and data to determine current production status. Works closely with production team to monitor work order progress. Anticipates impact of future requirements and provides adjustments in scheduling as needed Prints drawings and creates job packs from MRP system output for use by the floor as required. Ensures job packs are handled and released to the floor according to standards and policy Drives production execution by prioritizing production with program deliveries Provides the Program Management team with manufacturing due dates and advanced notice of shipping delay information Drives shortage meetings with a cross functional team and expedites material where required to meet shortfall between current plan and customer order requirements Analyzes data and system information to prepare reports as needed to facilitate and recommend actions to ensure optimal New Program execution. Interacts with Program Managers and Customers to provide multiple schedule scenarios to match program requirements with internal and external capabilities Maintains planning parameters in the MRP system to ensure all planning and scheduling strategies are accurately planned and reflected in ERP system Supports cost reduction projects and improvement initiatives to achieve overall business objectives Complies with plant safety procedures to ensure a safe environment Maintains and reports out assigned metrics such as work order on time to release (OTR), on time delivery (OTD), aged work in progress (WIP), etc. When we embrace the different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds that make each of us unique, we — as individuals and as a company — are stronger. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution. Minimum of two (2) years of experience in supply chain planning, inventory control, purchasing, logistics in a manufacturing or operations environment. No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within 50 miles of Los Angeles, CA will be considered for this position. Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement process Knowledge of production workflow and work order generation logic Good PC skills, especially MS Excel Great written and verbal communication skills Ability to work with all functions of the organization Ability to multi-task. The expected annual salary range for this role is $89,000 - $122,000. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only.
