• The purpose of the job is to schedule the production in the most optimal way, trying to meet the market requirements as much as possible, but at the same time taking capabilities of the organization into account.
  

• - Strives for the most optimal production plan for the customer in terms of Service Degree and Delivery Performance.
• - Takes operational resources and organizational capabilities into account.
• - Is the central information provider regarding the production planning (e.g. for customer service, purchasing, production and logistics, but also R&D, quality, engineering, maintenance).
• - Monitors operational resources (capacity/materials) and communicate with responsible persons/departments when action is required.
• - Participates in the S&OP process. Follow up with sales to get timely sales forecasts and upload in SAP, monitors, adjusts and uploads target stock levels (TSL’s) in SAP.
• - Responsible for capacity plan and yearly/monthly/weekly production plan and optimization.
• - Managing material planning and supplier deliver performance.
• - Ensure no material shortage to fulfill customer order.
• - Detect opportunities and threats and take appropriate action to optimize material planning process
• - Takes notice of external Delivery Performance and Service Degree and discusses action’s based upon this information with Operations Manager.
• - Evaluates and implements the most optimal planning method per stock keeping unit (SKU): make to order (MTO), assemble to order (ATO) or make to stock (MTS) in accordance with the agreements with the customer.
• - Provides information on long term workload on specific work centers in order to support decision for new investments.
• - Takes X+1 stock targets into account in decision making.
• - Maintains KPI’s as agreed with the Operations Manager.
• - Responsible for SAP master date maintain and coordinate to solve SAP routing problems .
• - Coordinate for new plant SAP setup and training to ensure smooth startup.
• - Supports projects which contribute Supply Chain Optimization (lead time reduction, improvement of delivery performance, efficiency, flexibility, dependability, cost).
• - Proactively work together with Assen team to maintain and continuously improve the ERP system setup in order to improve the operational performance.
• - Does a thorough root cause analysis in case of problems and comes up with preventive actions.
