Responsibilities:

• Provide and finalize component/part manufacture solution with optimized processes and cost benefit.

• Conduct DFM with the suppliers and mechanical design for mechanical components.

• Review tool design and manufacture process proposals of suppliers and approve for tool kick off.

• Plan tool budget and track the expense for tool manufacture and modification.

• Perform failure analysis and take corrective actions for mechanical components and track/update related bugs in Triage system.

• Work for cosmetic quality to meet CMD requirement.

• Drive Microsoft T2 vendors to meet project schedule and track the progress and predict risks.

• Report tool and process status and highlight hot issues and corrective plans.

• Review mechanical samples and reports and drive vendors for tool correction or part quality improvement.

• Review and approve PPAP for all related mechanical parts.

• Support product builds during product development phase and step in quick troubleshooting.

• Develop necessary tools and make samples for technical exploration.

• Review RFQ and provide the feedback.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 8 years’ of related working experience;

• Minimum 5 years’ experience required in consumer electronics or hi-tech industry;

• In-depth experience with product development processes;
