Eaton’s Electrical Sector is currently seeking a Senior Power Systems Engineer to join our team. This position is based at our Santa Ana, CA facility. Position Overview: Eaton’s Critical Power and Digital Infrastructure Division (CPDI) is currently looking for a Senior Power Systems Engineer to join the team in Santa Ana, CA. They will design and support Power Distribution Units while providing manufacturing support on the floor. This position is responsible for complete design and release of customer driven orders from start to finish of project. In this function you will: Apply knowledge of design principles and technologies of heavy electrical equipment design with low and medium voltages, including magnetic design, such as transformers, inductors, and reactors Design and develop Power Distribution Units, Remote Power Panels and Custom solution based on customer driven orders Create schematics and power wire list for products Collaborate with other departments while meeting timelines to deliver reliable product Provide testing support for troubleshooting products when on the production floor Maintain and release design documentation in a controlled environment (PDM) Have responsibility for mentoring and recruiting highly skilled engineering talent. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution with minimum 3 years work experience in electrical or power distribution design Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Santa Ana, California will be considered.
