Join our team, get inspired, and help us re-imagine the world! This position will report to Siemens PTI office based in Houston, TX. Work options include local or fully remote anywhere in the US. It's your role, here's the part you can play: You will work on exciting projects applying power systems planning principles, simulation and analysis of power system reliability steady state and dynamic behavior, and delivery of technical consulting/training services. Typical projects include generator interconnection studies, transmission planning reliability studies, renewable generation prospecting and carbon emission reduction studies. Furthermore, you will: Executes project responsibility of power system analysis especially transmission planning, often under timeline and budget constraints Conducts periodic project status report Produces draft reports and presentations Participates in business and proposal development including budget and timeline as needed Analyzes customer's business requirements to meet customer's needs Participates in internal and external training and mentoring opportunities Demonstrates strong analytical and critical thinking skills with growth mindset. Be part of our team, here's what's needed: Minimum Bachelor's degree in Electrical Power Systems Engineering with practical experience in using advanced power system analysis tools. We will consider candidates with 3-5 years of relevant experience Advanced degree is a plus and may substitute work experience Must have working experience using PSS® E. Experience with other software such as TARA, Aspen, PSCAD or EMTP is a plus Experience in transmission system planning or operations incl. analyzing power flow, transient stability, and electromagnetic transients.
