- Leads the creation, implementation, and optimization of software tools in support of various domains including design, manufacturing, validation, silicon production, systems integration, software application products, or ecosystem enabling.
- Utilizes modern software development methodologies, programming languages, domain knowledge, and secure coding practices to design, develop, debug, and/or validate algorithms, software tools, and systems that enable our internal/external engineering partners to design/manufacture intel silicon, integrate Intel silicon and/or software into impactful products.
- Examples of tools/systems include debuggers, analyzers, SDKs, IDEs, PDKs, performance monitors, software tools and libraries, flows, and/or methodologies for design, manufacturing, validation, and test.
Qualifications
You should possess a Master of Science degree in in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or relevant technology; Desired 3+ years' experience on platform performance and power optimization.
- Good problem solver with strong hands on skills for programming (e.g. Python, C/C++), be able to do source code level tuning, and debug software/firmware issues , and write scripts for automating test cases.
- Good understanding of Intel X86 Architecture, Linux, VMM, Driver, BIOS fundamentals, and BMC fundamentals; And also popular server workloads measurement methodologies, including SPECCPU, Linpack, FIO, MLC, SpecPower etc.
- Be familiar with network, storage, DCPMM fundamentals.
- Plus if have hands-on development/validation experience of one or more emerging server workloads including ML/DL Training or Inference, in-memory Database, Network virtualization etc.; Well understand of software stacks to support those workloads, such as Tensorflow, ResNet50, Redis, real-time kernel, DPDK etc.
- Have concepts of platform Integration cycles, e.g. code review, source control, code quality automation scanning, bug scrub, feature testing and product release.
- Demonstrated capability to work within a team environment facing fast-changing requirements and complicated stakeholders.
- Excellent English verbal and writing skills.

Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
