Eaton Mission Systems, formally Cobham Mission Systems is seeking a Senior Pricing Analyst at our Orchard Park, New York facility. Sponsorship is not available! Position Overview: The Senior Pricing Analyst will perform a key role as a member of the cross-functional business-winning team to pro-actively ensure achievement of both sound business process and a timely submission of responses to the customer. Review and advocate changes in process by leading the implementation of the new pricing / estimating tool. Contribute to pricing discussions as a matter of course to help optimize Eaton’s position. Ensures the Director of Pricing and Site Finance Lead is fully appraised of the current Bid Pipeline and to support the drive for common adoption of the business CRM tool that is driven by BD & Sales function, namely “Dynamics”. In this function you will: Analyze and interpret customer Request for Quote in order to develop timely, accurate and supportable cost estimates/prices that reflect how the site will deliver the product. Support various types of pricing related activities requested by the customer, (termination Liability Schedules, Expenditure forecasts, data sweeps and other cost & Pricing data requirements). Perform special cost and pricing studies on a variety of matters, including back-up for customer requests, cost out analysis, rate impact studies for finance, estimate to complete (ETC), estimate at complete (EAC) and design to cost (DTC) analysis. Provide profit and margin analysis on established price lists annually and anytime as required. Working closely with the Bid, Commercial and Operational team and play a key part in winning contracts through the consideration and experience of intelligent pricing. Co-operate with management to meet the employer’s legal duties and take reasonable care of their own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by their acts or omissions Support developing a Standard Operating Framework for Estimating to ensure that there is consistency of process across the team Work with Business Development & Sales Function to gain a forward view on forthcoming estimating work and own cost volume; Assist in the development of business cases for new business proposals that require NRE investment Support the Procurement Function from an estimating perspective in the auditing of suppliers Attend customer meetings in order to demonstrate changes from proposal request to customer to price; Support price negotiations with cost analysis of positions etc When we embrace the different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds that make each of us unique, we — as individuals and as a company — are stronger. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution Minimum of 3 years of pricing or finance experience Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future. This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. “Green Card Holder”), Political Asylee or Refugee. No relocation will be offered for this position. Only candidates who reside within a 50-mile radius of the Orchard Park, NY facility will be considered for this position. Preferred Qualifications: 5 years of proven relevant experience gained in a commercial discipline in a high tech industry, ideally within the aerospace/defense sector (FAR-15 / DFAR / TINA) Knowledge of the estimating process is a prerequisite for this role Experience of US DoD and UK MoD and export contracting is ideal Experience in costing/pricing/tendering for original equipment, repairs and maintenance schemes within the sector Ability to work both within a team, making the best use of internal resources and also autonomously Initiative and drive to collate, analyze and present complex information key to the commercial success of the business Enthusiasm and commitment to the sector and the ability to work to tight deadlines Can do attitude in order to work around the challenges; come up with solutions Ability to lead a high-performance team and navigate change management Further competencies will be provided via the competency matrix, and linked to the relevant job level What you’ll get from us: We provide benefits that are industry competitive and focused on employee well-being.
