Eaton’s CDP division is currently seeking a Senior Product Engineer to join our team. This position is based at our Juarez facility. The Senior Product Engineer is responsible for creates the Electrical Engineering Design and Mechanical concept of assigned Projects, to meet the customers technical Specifications, the Eaton’s proposal, the applicable national and international Standards and codes, and applies the most robust engineering practices, for Electrical Distribution Products, Electrical Control and Electrical Management products; for medium and low voltage, using ANSI, NEMA, NEC, UL requirements along with Mexican Standards ANCE, NOM, CFE, PEMEX plus all other applicable codes and regulations for Latin America markets, must maintains good communication with the customers concerning all technical issues and completion of engineering projects within the area of assigned responsibility. Some activities related with the position will be: Develops the manufacturing specifications and information of products for standard and Special Power Distribution, Control Electrical Measurement Software using CAD systems like Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Mechanical Desktop, AutoCAD, etc. Generates the project bill of materials to meet the customer specifications and pecific applicable Norms. Identifies the technical requirements which may require a project change order and brings this to the attention of the Product Manager. Provides technical support for the development of the change order. Provides Technical guidance to Electrical Technicians. Provides the bill of materials to the Purchasing department for timely acquisition. Prepares, submits, and obtains approval from the customer of all aspects of the technical design as required by the project specifications. Approval is obtained in a timely manner to meet the project schedule. With the Project Manager's assistance, Provides information and collaborates with the mechanical design area such that the electrical design can proceed in accordance to schedule. Develops and provides one-line diagrams to Mech Engineering /drafting with, bill of materials, schematics, and wiring information to complete the project. Expeditiously resolves all technical issues with the customer, Manufacturing department, and Testing department to meet project schedule milestones. Conducts all technical communication with the customer in a timely and professional manner. Provides timely notification to the Product Manager of any deviation from the project schedule related to the engineering effort for the project or of any situation, conflict, or delay that has the potential of impacting the project completion. Conducts periodic walk-throughs of assigned projects in the plant. Advises and resolves all issues encountered during these walk-throughs with the appropriate production area lead personnel. Prepares and provides timely nameplate lists and ID tags to assembly area. -Inspects, reviews test reports, and signs-off on the finished product. Makes corrections to drawings of special and standard equipment orders that are requested by the product engineers or by application of engineering changes. Must follow and create improved Product Engineering ‘s processes and procedures. Collaborate with various departments by setting or changing methods, techniques or processes that help the continuous improvement of product quality. Comply with the Eaton Business System (EBS) in the Foundations, Planning, Growth, Functional Excellence, Evaluation and Learning, mainly in the Eaton Business Excellence (EBE), ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 and its tools (such as : Eaton Quality System (EQS), Eaton Lean System and Six Sigma-ELS, etc.). Firmly follow Eaton's leadership model as well as adopt leadership attributes (Ethics, Passion, Learning, Responsibility, Efficiency and transparency). #LI-UH1 Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics, or Electro mechanics or similar. 3 - 5 years in similar position preferred 90% English Procedures Creation / Improvement for technical support of Electrical Engineering. Solid knowledge of Automation and PLC’s is highly desirable. Preferred Qualifications: Teamwork Ability to relate with people inspiring trust and respect. Professional presence.
