We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Senior Product Manager, Group Insurance.
In this role, you will
- Ensure our product related customer value policy and guidance continue to be optimal, effective, fit for purpose and aligned with other wealth product lines and wider risk appetite.
- Represent Group Insurance Product team in discussions with Country teams on product design as relates to customer value where needed. Building understanding of context, internal and external constraints, limitations and optimization decisions to support customer value assessments. Where needed influence design, pricing decisions and control environment decisions to optimize products, propositions, processes and ensure consistency with guidance and policy.
- Optimally integrate with local and group product development and approval processes to ensure guidance appropriately applied and considered by country teams or third parties for new products and product modifications such that products can be developed and launched in a timely and efficiently manner enabling speed to market.
- Work with Insurance Global Functions for their support in analysis and ensure assessments comprehensive and risks and controls appropriate and managed and products have second line input and ultimately second line support and approval.
- Ensure product risk rating models well maintained, remain fit for purpose and can be operated efficiently and effectively in compliance with applicable Group model policy.
- Lead on representing insurance in Retail Banking and Wealth Management product risk rating model discussions at applicable forums and in applicable Group Insurance oversight committees.
- Lead and assist on other Group Product related initiatives as needed.
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements
- Be a fellow of the institute and faculty of actuaries, or an equivalent actuarial body, or have similar alternative strong technical background and qualification with post qualification relevant working experience
- Have excellent written communication skills to distil complex technical concepts into accessible and logical narratives
- Experience at writing papers for committee approval on complex and diverse topics
- Have strong influencing and stakeholder management skills, able to work across functions, teams and time zones
- Be a deep subject matter expert within the group insurance head office team for a range of product design, pricing and governance issues
- Have experience of working on product design and pricing of life insurance products in at least one country, preferably with Asian product experience
- Have experience working in or with regional or group offices
- Have track record of excellent and consistent execution
