At Booking.com our mobile app is used by tens of millions of users every month and over 40 product teams deliver updates to our app every week. Ensuring the quality of the app in such a rapidly changing environment can be a challenge and that’s where you come in.

As a Senior Product manager in our App Core Platform organization you will take the lead on defining what good looks like for the overall operational health and quality of our app. You evangelize and represent the area to the entire mobile app product community; ensuring and enabling product teams across Booking.com to operate within the guardrails you set.

One of our current focus points is making our app as fast and responsive as possible, and we have a dedicated team to make this possible that needs your direction. Over time, there is an opportunity to manage other product manager(s) in this area.

In addition to all of the above, you will be responsible for determining the future strategic focus of the Operational Excellence area.

• Work with our App Performance team directly to make the Booking.com app the fastest travel app in the world.
• Set overall direction and long term vision for the mobile app operational excellence, ensure it’s fast, high quality and receives regular updates.
• Mentor other product manager(s) in the area of operational excellence.
• Use data to make informed decisions about what the team should work on next, analyze how it is implemented and what the results are.
• Because your opinion is data-driven, you will define key business and product success metrics, track them, and improve upon them.
• Liaison with external partners like Google and Apple.

B.skilled

• At least 5 years of experience in building product as a Senior Product Manager.
• Hands on experience in mentoring other product roles.
• Proven track record of successfully working in a large product organization with 25+ product oriented teams.
• Strong experience of working with mobile apps
• Strong experience of working with technology to impact the customer experience.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and influencing skills.
• Team player with a bottom-up ideation process.
• Ability to see the big picture, without losing sight of the product details.
• An analytical orientation and strong problem-solving skills demonstrated by the ability to structure issues and analyze alternative solutions.
• Fluent in the English language both spoken and written.
