Job Description

Product Quality Reliability Engineers leads the NPI qualification activities on the FPGA products. This position will be responsible for physical understanding, model prediction and enhancement of quality & reliability for advanced products, transistor, interconnect, assembly/package and testing process. Defines Si/assembly/package qualification requirement and responsible for product qualification or technology certification. Defines/develops and conducts stress tests including burn-in test, DFX requirements and research on individual technology components as well as integrated circuit/products to ensure process is stable and products meet committed quality & reliability performance.

Seeking candidates for a senior Product Development Quality and Reliability Engineer position in San Jose, CA. As part of the team responsible for development and manufacturing ramp of products manufactured with Intel's most advanced silicon technologies and own the responsibility of ensuring the quality and reliability of the products meet Intel requirement.

Some of the responsibilities may include but not limited to:

  • Representing QnR as an active participant in product development forums.
  • Develop product qualification plan and qualification report.
  • Manage product qualification activities, drive use condition based reliability models, perform product reliability analysis and risk assessment.
  • Partner with Product Engineers to drive test content quality.
  • Manage and drive to resolution on quality and reliability sighting during product qualification.
  • Manage PSG Reliability lab operation and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • You must possess a Masters in Electrical Engineering, Micro-Electronics, Material Science, Computer engineering, Physics or related field and 3+ years of experience in a relevant engineering field.
  • PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Micro-Electronics, Material Science, Computer engineering, Physics or related field 1+ years of experience in a relevant engineering field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge in computer architecture, semiconductor, product testing, transistor reliability and product reliability stressing.
  • Statistics and statistical data analysis.
  • Familiar with ASIC design.
  • Knowledge in Perl, JMP and Excel macro scripting is added advantage.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
