The Microsoft Azure One Deploy team within Azure Compute has the charter to help teams across Azure set up services in our ever-expanding cloud, and deliver changes safely to our customers. We are looking for a Senior Program Manager that embraces this culture, with strong technical and analytical skills, track record of driving for results and a can-do collaborative attitude. Driving strategy and scenarios that bring continuous improvements to cloud deployments (multi-level monitoring and health, improved orchestration, deployment velocity, etc) is no small task. This is a critical role and as such you need ready for high visibility and bring the energy to make a big impact.

Responsibilities

• Work with customers and partner teams to identify and prioritize deployment scenarios
• Lead product planning for end-to-end scenarios
• Define KPIs (key performance indicators) and establish and execute on plans for improving those KPIs
• Partner with the development team on scenario design, product tradeoffs, incremental delivery
• Drive cross team technical issues and customer experiences
• Prepare and deliver high quality executive reviews
• Present to customers, and use customer and partner feedback to continuously improve the product and the technology
• Understand customer requirements around Azure deployments and drive them into the product

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in the software industry
• 3+ years of experience as a Program Manager/Technical Program Manager, shipping infrastructure components or large products/services
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related disciplines, OR equivalent industry experience 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Self-motivated, self-directed, and able to lead and motivate a high-energy team
• Strong technical background and solid foundation in software engineering principles
• Excellent written and oral communication
• Strong cross-team collaboration skills
• Experience in Azure cloud and deployment technologies are strongly preferred
• Hands-on coding experience are desirable

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check. This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
