PayPal is looking to hire a highly motivated Sr. Program Manager (SPM) who want to be involved in achieving our financial goals within the PayPal Credit division of PayPal. This person will need to be able to lead multiple projects from idea through execution when given ambiguous scope and requirements in order to meet tight deadlines. The SPM will need to lead project teams with 20+ global and remote team members across the PayPal system as well as with external partners. The SPM will work with business, product and technology leaders on a daily basis to identify products, strategies to help develop our current and future roadmaps. Developing detail project plans with key milestones and understanding critical path deliverables will be necessary to ensure adherence to on time delivery of project commitments. Being an effective stakeholder communicator at the project team to the SVP level leadership is key to successful project implementation within the organization.

Senior Program Manager

Description: 

The Senior Program Manager (SPM) will have the responsibility working with teams across PayPal to get PayPal Credit BFS products implemented across a majority of PayPal product lines.  The SPM will work with business, product and technology leaders to identify products and strategies; develop detailed execution plan and work with teams across PayPal.  This initiative is key to the financial success of PayPal Credit – including achieving our goals and making a significant contribution to PayPal overall.

Job Scope

  • Partner on strategic direction on programs with internal senior leadership on large scale efforts.
  • Integral part of strategic planning efforts for both internal and business driven program.  Input is critical in setting roadmap to meet the need of customers.
  • Works on high complexity programs defined at the BFS senior leadership level.
  • Frequently interfaces with PayPal BFS leaders within and outside of team
  • Has established working relationships that enable self-direction in gathering requirements and scoping work.
  • Point of contact for project escalations
  • Identify program impediments and address including proper escalation to individuals/groups as needed
  • Lead program retrospectives and commitment to improvement on a regular cadence

Leadership:

  • Provides leadership to others, including senior members of project teams.
  • Participates with leadership to determine direction and objectives of a project.
  • Deliverables are used as examples for other team members.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of professional related experience required
  • BS/BA degree required, PMI certification is preferred
  • Large Software Development Effort/Large Programs management experience required
  • Agile lifecycle management experience preferred
  • Must be able to lead multiple projects spanning multiple locations domestically or globally
  • Must be able to work independently and knowledgeable of Project Management processes, communications and roadblocks
  • Must be highly interactive with cross functional teams
  • Experience with Fortune 500 companies, or global organizations with cross functional teams and exposure to different level of staff within organizations is preferred
