This is a fixed-term contract position of minimum 2 years with possibility for renewal subject to organization need and individual performance.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Senior Manager, Planning and play a major role in ensuring the Authority’s development projects undergone by Capital Works are undertaken to the best environmental practice and standards and in compliance with all applicable environmental related legislation including, but not limited to, Environmental Impact Assessment Ordinance (EIAO)
• Possess with a thorough knowledge of all environmental impacts anticipated for the scales and types of development considered at HKIA and the required mitigation measures
• Review and assess fieldworks activity and draft assessment reports, design and contract specifications and related documentations
• Oversee project progress of environmental consultancy and coordinate all the contractor, relevant government departments on site related environmental activities
• Assist in promoting green and environmental friendly design and construction practice for HKIA projects

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree holder or above in environmental related disciplines
• At least 10 years’ relevant experience with good track record of construction environmental management on large scale multi-disciplinary construction projects, in which at least 6 years in managing position
• Member of HKIE, HKIEA, CIWEM or equivalent professional qualification is preferred
• Specialist knowledge and experience in EIA and green building design would be an advantage
• Well-conversant with local environmental regulations, government procedure and policies
• Capable of handling environmental issues independently
• Proficient in Microsoft Office application and project management software tools
• Excellent command of written and spoken Chinese and English. Fluency in Putonghua is preferred
