This is a fixed-term contract position of minimum 2 years with possibility for renewal subject to organization need and individual performance.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring effective and efficient project management of civil works, including overall project planning and design of the relevant works;
• Assisting in leading multiple design consultants to ensure that programme and budget requirements are met;
• Ensuring that project requirements are incorporated effectively into detailed design, works contract drawings and specifications effectively;
• Proactively identifying design and construction interface problems, investigating alternatives with designers and contractors and liaising with project stakeholders to provide effective solutions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/ Structural Engineering or other related disciplines
• Member of HKIE or other equivalent professional bodies
• At least 10 years’ relevant experience, of which minimum of 4 years should be in project management, especially complex civil engineering projects
• Experience in management of civil/structural/geotechnical/hydraulic works design, planning, statutory submission to the Buildings Department and relevant authorities
• Experience in design and construction supervision of large scale underground structures/foundations, plant buildings, utilities, roadworks, and major ELS will be an advantage
• Experience in design and construction of works in newly reclaimed land, with strong geotechnical knowledge, will be an advantage
• Strong communication, analytical and negotiation skills, with coordination experience in highly complex projects from design to completion
• Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese. Knowledge of Putonghua is an advantage
• Proficiency in MS Office applications and project management software tools
