We seek to hire a Senior Project Engineer to produce and develop Traction Power Systems for assigned projects. Our campus in Wilsonville, OR, will provide a modern landscape for you to complete the Engineering deliverables to ensure projects are on time and within budget and that we meet all safety, quality, and environmental requirements. You will work closely with the internal Technical and Project Managers to ensure we present integrated engineering solutions to our customers. What your day-to-day will look like: Ensure that all project Engineering designs are aligned with all applicable standards, including, but not limited to, ANSI / IEEE and NEMA standards, and meet the requirements of the contract Produce technical white papers to enable proper interpretation and evaluation of standards, routine specifications, performance characteristics, or other technical data Ensure that any sub-contracted Engineering design work is handled in a professional, cost-effective manner Manage and coordinate interdisciplinary Engineering designs, i.e., TPSS, OCS, Civils, SCADA, Telecoms, etc. Act as a Requirements Contributor in the Requirements Management (RM) process Give technical support to all Technical Manager(s) and Project Manager(s) as required Provide technical support to all Commercial Manager(s) and ensure all Engineering design change requests are processed promptly Take an active role in the local coaching of junior / less experienced staff to ensure the developmental needs of both the individual and the business are met Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Factory Integration Testing (FIT), and Field / Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) as required Positively influence Engineering design and construction safety performance and aims for zero accidents To thrive in this role, you have: Electrical Engineering Degree (Bachelor required, Master preferred) Professional Engineer (PE) qualified in any US state (preferred) with a minimum of ten (10) years of experience Minimum five (5) years experience with AutoCAD Electrical or Siemens COMOS Demonstrable in-depth knowledge and experience of AC and DC rail electrification schemes, particularly distribution assets Proven knowledge of and experience with Siemens' Electrification products and experience designing control circuitry is advantageous Proficient in discipline-specific ANSI / IEEE and NEMA standards Strong organizational, collaborative, and leadership experience and capability Good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and report at all levels effectively Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Visio) Why you'll love working for Us: Freedom and healthy work-life balance– Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance, HSA/FSA, Commuter Benefits – starting Day 1 Engaging, meaningful, and fast-evolving, pioneering technological environment.
