This is a fixed-term contract position of minimum 2 years with possibility for renewal subject to organization need and individual performance.

The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that construction works under the 3RS Project are built to achieve the project objectives in a safe and timely manner.

Responsibilities:

• Managing a team of inspectorate staff to ensure the safe and effective implementation of construction works by multiple contractors;
• Overseeing multiple construction sites to ensure the compliance of works with the relevant contract and statutory requirements on safety, quality and environmental aspects;
• Monitoring the work progress against the works programme and reporting directly to the Management on site issues that may affect the delivery of the Project;
• Ensuring the consistent preparation and maintenance of site records on safety issues, quality issues and resources by the contractors;
• Driving the contractors to achieve continuous improvement in safety performance and to foster a safe and collaborative working culture; and uplifting the safety standards to achieve the Authority’s safety goals; and
• Proactively anticipating and resolving all construction issues between interfacing contracts and different disciplines including but not limited to the coordination of logistic issues arising throughout the construction and testing and commissioning period.

Requirements:

• Higher Diploma / Higher Certificate in Civil / Structural Engineering or other related disciplines
• At least 15 years' experience in site supervision of large multi-disciplinary projects
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Holder of a valid driving license is preferred
