What is this role?

The role of Senior Localization Project Manager is to manage all assigned projects in the most efficient manner possible in order to ensure client retention, satisfaction and ultimately repeat revenue growth.

As the main point of contact for their clients, the ideal candidate must proactively use effective written and verbal communication to ensure that project teams understand the scope, complexity and expectations, and that the clients are kept fully informed as to the progress, position and financial status of their projects.

Additionally, the Senior Project Manager needs to manage and motivate the extended project team, ensuring actions are clearly delegated and that resource/quality issues are escalated in a timely fashion to the departmental managers and Program Manager.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of projects to client’s expectations achieving targeted levels of profitability.
• Close financial monitoring and control of projects through budgets, invoicing and change orders to ensure timely and final invoicing.
• Strategic project planning involving best methodologies, processes, and risk assessments.
• Identification and development of project/process improvement opportunities and escalating to Program Manager.
•  Work closely with the production teams, scope, quote, set up and coordinate production process of media projects.

• Communicate on time and effectively the status, progress and any risks or queries of every project to the client.
• Ensure projects meet internal and external client expectations with respect to quality, budget and delivery timelines.
• Track and report cost and schedule changes, and highlight any issues to the project team and/or client in a proactive and timely fashion.

 

Experience and Skills

• Typically requires 5+ years of localization project management experience
• 5+ years of budget management experience
• Experience growing accounts
• Good written/verbal communication and presentation skills
• Customer service experience
• Proactive
• Ambitious and with a desire to learn and progress
• Analytical and organized problem-solving abilities
• Able to meet deadlines and work under pressure

 
Nice to have:

• Previous experience of working in a project based, client facing role, with multimedia projects covering both voiceover and subtitling would be an advantage.
• Experience in Transcription/Subtitling environment is a plus.
• Understanding of Media Accessibility requirements (Audio description and Subtitles for Deaf and hard of hearing).
• Knowledge of one or more foreign language(s).
• Expertise in industry-related CAT-tools software is a plus
