Job Description

About The Role:

Under the supervision of a Program Manager or Program Director, the Senior Project Manager is the lead member of a team working closely with direct reports, Technical Services, linguists, and Quality Assurance, and is assigned to clients of varying size and scope of work. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for successful project delivery, a positive client experience including effectively addressing issues escalated from others, and growing the accounts potential based upon predefined objectives.

The Senior Project Manager oversees day-to-day project activities within a team and ensures that production and project objectives are met including budgetary and KPI requirements. The position also regularly meets with teams to discuss open and emerging business issues for assigned accounts as well as to make recommendations for improvements and lead on their implementation.

The Senior Project Manager has team management responsibilities and direct reports. The position completes individual performance reviews and set goals for the team.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Leading large-scale translation projects with multinational clients, linguists, DTP team, inter-departmental units etc.
  • Managing a team of direct reports, supervising their day-to-day workload as well as development
  • Identify, communicate, and manage production risks as appropriate to eliminate potential pitfalls or obstacles.
  • Analysis of customer assets using translation memory tools
  • Compilation of project estimates and schedules
  • On-time delivery of high quality projects within budget and to client’s expectations
  • Project planning and implementing best methodology and process
  • Problem solving issues which arise during the project lifecycle
  • Accurate version control and archiving of all project related materials
  • Make recommendations for process improvements that improve efficiency, quality and profitability.
  • Accurate and timely invoicing
  • Awareness of cost control and profitability
  • Attending conference calls / status update meetings with clients
  • Adherence to ISO and best practice processes, with effective and accurate maintenance of project documentation (project handovers, MDS, status reporting etc.)
  • High levels of client satisfaction
  • Accurate and timely completion of assigned tasks

 

Requirements:

  • Strong written/verbal communication skills in English in order to deal with both clients and internal project teams
  • 3-5 years localisation experience
  • Intermediate to professional level of experience with CAT tools
  • Experience in Life Sciences/Pharma localisation would be a plus
  • Ability to communicate with, train, and lead employees through changes in procedures, clients requirements, and other production processing issues
  • Ability to make decisions and lead employees through problems on job-related issues
  • Team player, willing to be devoted into the team building
  • Ability to understand, apply and use computer and software applications (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, CAT Tools, Office 365/other production software)Experience with a variety of tools and systems and solving technical issues
