Job Description

(Candidates with less experience may be considered for the post of Project Manager) 

You will be responsible for:

  • reporting to the General Manager, Project Management in managing and monitoring projects from inception to completion related to the design services phase;
  • overseeing all aspects of the project management systems from strategy formulation, development, project cost control, to programming and procurement;
  • managing and overseeing the multi-disciplinary design of the project and performance of all consultants and stakeholders;
  • managing full project life cycle from inception to handover, including preparation and reviewing of project programme, schedule of milestones, deliverable production schedule, works programme, Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA), 4D BIM, scenario studies and programme impact analysis, etc.;
  • injecting leadership and motivation to the team to ensure all project time management related deliverables are realistic and achievable;
  • enhancing project tracking and reporting system, critical path for planning and monitoring resources, performance measurement and controlling time schedule whilst maintaining an in-house project time management system, including dashboard for programming and controlling projects; and
  • advising the project team on project delivery approach, packaging strategy, buildability, logistics and in adopting the best suited approach in pursuing timely opening of the facilities and venues.

 

You should:

  • possess a recognised university degree in Architecture, Building Services, Civil or Structural Engineering, Project Management or equivalent; 
  • possess a professional membership of a relevant institution and preferably with supplemental qualification(s) in Project Management;
  • have at least 10 or 5 years of post-qualification experience for SPM and PM respectively with a proven track records in managing major infrastructure projects; and/or have at least 10 or 5 years of directly relevant experience for SPM and PM respectively in project planning and programming in the field of design management, preferably gained in roles on the client and consultant side;
  • have excellent skills in programming, controlling and monitoring large multi-disciplinary design and construction projects, producing significant design and pre-construction deliverables for construction and project planning purposes;
  • have knowledge and experience in sensitivity analysis, scenario studies and impact analysis and a good understanding of Primavera Project Management software (for Programming and Planning SPM/PM positions);
  • be familiar with government submission procedures, plus experience in assessing the potential risk or delay and time implication during the project life cycle;
  • be familiar with interactive visualization dashboards, schedule risk analysis, construction simulation modelling, Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and Project Information Management System (PIMS);
  • have in-depth knowledge of Hong Kong statutory and building related legislations; and
  • be able to develop methodologies that promote cooperative and collaborative synergies with consultants and other stakeholders
