CENTRE FOR INNOVATIVE SERVICE-LEARNING

The Senior Project Officer will assist in the implementation of action research in a cross-institutional project. He/She will administer an action research financial incentive scheme, work closely with faculty members to support their action research initiatives on service-learning, organise seminars on methodologies in action research, carry out qualitative and quantitative research activities and data analysis, and prepare reports and research articles for publication. He/She is also expected to contribute to other activities and services of the Centre for Innovative Service-Learning; establish proactive liaison with academic staff and community partners; and perform other administrative duties.

Applicants should have a higher degree in Education, Social Sciences or related disciplines and substantial post-qualification experience in action research. The appointee should possess organisational and analytical skills, excellent communication skills in both spoken and written Chinese and English, and IT skills. He/She should be able to work independently and effectively in a small team. Occasional travelling and after office hours duty would be required.

Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of one year. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
