Position: Senior QA Automation Engineer

Location: Madrid

DESCRIPTION

Our Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Automation Engineer is responsible for conducting thorough product testing and maintain agreed upon quality standards in order to provide the highest quality software products to both external and internal customers.  The successful candidate will be part of the development team, defining acceptance criteria, creating automated tests which will act as quality gate for releases and reporting issues found.

He/She will be part of a new product that is being created from scratch, helping the team to achieve success using top-notch technologies in an international environment.

ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work as a member of an agile team delivering high quality software
• Define acceptance criteria for the user stories
• Perform black-box tests that assure that the release fulfils the specifications
• Document software issues and enhancement requests and assist development with concise and detailed steps for replication of the defects found while performing tests
• Effectively interact with the organisation and work as a team to deliver projects on time and on budget
• Contribute towards team estimation and scheduling process
• Work efficiently and with a high level of energy

MUST HAVE:

• QA professional with 5+ years of experience and a track record of being a difference maker
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience/knowledge
• Deep experience testing client-server and web windows-based applications, including test plan writing, test case writing and test case execution.
• Experience writing automated tests with Java, Python or any other language.
• Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Desire and ability to learn new skills and improve upon current skills
• Ability to comprehend complexity, to fully understand a product with all of its business and technological implications, and to approach the improvement of its quality from that perspective
• Ability to work in English

DESIRABLE:

• Experience working with microservices
• Experience testing REST apis
• Experience with Selenium and/or Protractor
