Senior QA Technician-Apparel

Duties:

1. Ensure correctness of garments specifications are tested / compiled

2. Evaluate and make decision if sample meets NZ Legal and TWL Standards on construction, quality etc..

3. Evaluate fit of sample and make decision in partnership with buyer as to acceptance and advise supplier with corrective action where required.

4. Undertake wash / wear testing and other tests as appropriate.

5. Evaluate Fabric test reports and make decision as to acceptance and advise buyer/supplier with corrective action where required.

6. Report compliance to buyers / suppliers with recommendations to correct/improve where required

7. Enter all daily approvals and manager QA workload schedule

8. Evaluate incoming fabric test reports

9. Ensure correct garment fit can be obtained from production of appropriate patterns.

Requirement:

1. Minimum 10 years’ experience in QA Inspector Role Garment construction and technical experience and knowledge

2. Apparel & Textile and accessory experience

3. Travel frequently

4. Fabric knowledge and testing experience

5. Sound communication skills both verbal and written

6. Ability to pay close attention to detail

7. Intermediate computer skills – Word, Excel, photoshop, Skype etc.

8. Corel Draw experience is preferred

9. Ability to collaborate and work effectively across multiple geographies & time zones

10. Experience developing and delivering reports
