Eaton’s Aerospace Division is currently seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to join our team. This position is based at our Euclid, OH facility. Position Overview: The Sr. Quality Engineer will be responsible for quality support to the team responsible for the repair and overhaul of customer owned pumps. In addition, supports and leads efforts to improve overall quality metrics as well as lead and support various improvement Initiatives. In this role, you will: Improve quality metrics, drive reductions in quality escapes through the development of systems and implementation of corrective actions. Improvement in First Pass Yield (FPY) of both pump ATP’s and paperwork deliverables (8130’s, analysis reports, etc.) Develop and maintain repair station manuals compliant with FAA, EASA and CAAC regulatory requirements. Ensure that any regulatory changes are implemented within the allotted time frame. Host FAA/EASA/CAAC and customer representatives, and/or customer auditors (some of whom may be international with vastly different business cultures). This would also include being the MRO lead for AS9100 audits. Ensure timely completion of internal and external audits, (technician, product, and system). Manage the repair station Layered Process Audit (LPA) initiative, including the implementation of corrective actions associated with LPA non-compliances. Revise all support documentation as well as ensure compliance with our form control systems. Ensure that all shop floor work instructions align with the latest revision CMM procedures and requirements. Respond to corrective action requests from customers, regulatory or AS9100 system audits. Responses to including full root cause analysis, determination and implementation of permanent corrective actions. Collaborate with Technical Publications team, Engineering, and Customers, to improve CMM manuals. This position requires interaction with both internal and external personnel at all levels of the organization. Interaction is quite often providing the controlled interface between Eaton, the customer and regulatory bodies (FAA, EASA, CAAC). Assist in managing the review and release of Technical Publications. Assist Product Reliability team in gathering data to resolve pump operating issues identified in the field. (i.e. leaks, excessive wear, in flight shut downs, etc.) Utilize product audit process to suggest process and/or design changes to improve productivity and/or yield. Implement standard work; identify cost out opportunities, in order to drive continuous improvements in products and processes. Maintain accurate records to comply with company and customer record retention requirements. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution Minimum of 2 years of experience in a quality position This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee. No relocation will be offered for this position. Only candidates who reside within a 50 mile radius of the Euclid, OH facility will be considered for this position. Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future Preferred Qualifications: Detailed knowledge of aerospace regulations, primarily FAR Part 145 and 43, EASA and CAAC. Experience with aerospace repair and overhaul practices, teardown and assembly processes and inspection techniques. Experienced knowledge of AS9100 Quality System and product/process auditing techniques. Detailed knowledge of problem-solving techniques - Root Cause Analysis, 8D Corrective Action Process, and FMEA. Ability to manage multiple projects/activities/requests. Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. Experienced in Microsoft computer applications: Excel (graphs, pivot tables), experience with large Word documents is critical, and Visio graphs, Outlook calendars, contacts, and tasks. Experience with government contracts, asset reporting/tracking, and contract required corrective actions. Must exhibit a high level of motivation, sense of urgency, and energetic approach to job duties and requirements.
